Additional WiiM Ultra display options please

For those of us with the Ultra on a rack several feet away from the listening position, it would be useful if another display option included large text showing current track number and time elapsed/remaining etc. Scrolling text would be another alternative (& if WiiM wish to be creative then maybe an additional option to have the album artwork heavily faded behind the text).

One of the current display options does have some of this information but the text is far too small to read at a distance alongside small album artwork so I find myself opening and looking at the app to check such details. It would be so much more useful if it was larger and clearer.

As replied elsewhere, WiiM are planning to add new lock face options later this month - hopefully it might include something like this

I would add also colour to match other devices - eg amber for my setup...

Just bought a Wiim Ultra. Despite the screen being quite small, I was surprised there were so few options for display, and so little customisation. Like there are 2 digital clocks, and 2 analog clocks, and you can't change anything about them (font style/size, show/hide date etc).

No display option which is just the track name / time in large font? And the VU meter has no settings so when using the device with fixed volume (100%), it's just maxed out the whole time.

Never happened! An with the latest design decisions, I fear how it will look and function if ever released.

It looks better and better every update - but there is still no option to connect screen to appropriate input? Eg foe CD optical input only VU has a sense.

The WiiM team is getting more and more experienced over time, so that helps.

There is however still some learning to do before they are utilizing the Ultra screen as I would expect of a professional product.

There has been many suggestions in this forum, some good and some not so. So I understand if the WiiM team is somehow confused about what is the right approach.

Some people want something that looks nice and others (like me) want something useful and accurate. That is not always an easy task to prioritize.

I myself is still waiting for VU meters that shows the correct values for a digital pre-amp :p

For me the display it's ok.
The request from @Wojc is the most sensed, because on external input like cd players etc.. the VU meter is the best and valid option.

What I would like is that the total left half of the display is used for artwork, and the right for (customizable?) details.
Now artwork is small because there are elements above (logo, home button) and below (progress bar, remaining time etc).

Ideally, there should be an option to choose between a display with artwork, if you like that and have a sharp eye, and one without artwork at all, but with clear data about the track, time, bitrate and volume. Even smaller and older displays can do this, it really can be designed in the 21st century.
