Adjust gain offset per source input

Hi folks,

This feature has not been requested yet for the WiiM Amp. Considering it has ARC capabilities I’m guessing it may become more important to implement.

Allow in the smartphone application the ability to adjust the gain (+/-) per input. To either adjust all streaming sources down (e.g. tidal, Spotify, deezer) and/or other sources up (e.g. ARC, or optical in).

Without this feature the chance for differences in audio volume are just too high. With the feature it would allow to minimize these differences and make for a more smooth source selection without having to remember (or explain to others) to adjust the volume.

My wife nearly went bezerk when after watching Netflix wanted to listen to some music and the volume level was “rediculously high”.

Wife acceptance factor, speaker safety, or whatever you want to call it, needs some thought here.

While we’re at it, add this feature at least also to the WiiM Pro and Pro Plus.

See a few threads pleading for the same:

As I’m sure I said in those threads, the best way to bring this to WiiM’s attention is to taise a ticket thru the feedback section in the WiiM Home App. That way they’ll get better visibility of the request in their automated support system. This is primarily a user community forum and WiiM only drop in here from time to time.

That’s pretty clever, nice find! Unfortunately don’t have Alexa (or any smart home device for that matter).
You do have a WiiM device and remote though which provides access to Alexa and voice commands if you link to your Amazon account via the Alexa entry in the WiiM Home app Browse page. No need for any other hardware, software or subscription.

Isn't the wiim amp effectively an alexa device?
Admittedely, I think you need an Amazon account.
Yeah, all you need is an Amazon account (which doesn’t need much more info than your email address) and link to that given that your Amazon account is your Alexa, Kindle, Amazon Music and possibly Audible account too.
