Hello & thanks,

I updated the Wiim mini firmware a couple days ago as it seemed liked a good idea.

Since then I cannot stream YouTube from iPhone via airplay.

Huge bummer as it's my main use case.

Rebooted Wiim / Iphone / Router.

Youtube app & iOS updated.

Ip6 disabled on Wiim.

Still no love.

It DOES still work from other apps on my phone & also from browser on Mac, so it seems like an issue with the firmware update & Youtube app on iOS.

Any & all help much appreciated!

Be well all.

This seems to be specifically a YouTube/Airplay issue - I can’t airplay to any of my WiiM devices, nor to my non-WiiM Linn amplifier, using iPadOS 26 from the YouTube app. However, I can happily airplay from the YouTube Music, Apple Music and Amazon Music apps to all my airplay capable devices including my WiiM Mini.

I don’t see it as a WiiM firmware issue from my tests, so I think the issue lies with the YouTube app or Apple.

Damn, appreciate the feedback.

Perhaps it popped up coincidentally with the Wiim firmware update.

But the product should definitely work as advertised.

Any advised next steps? Guess we need to ring apples bell, ideally the developers / company would as well so we aren't in the graveyard of apple forums 🥶

Appreciate the guidance!

Be well, 🙏

I did try force closing the YouTube app and a hard reload of my iPad, but still the same. I think it might be one for the Apple forums, but it would help if you had another target airplay device like a tv to try as well so they immediately don’t try to dump it at WiiM’s doorstep which I don’t think it is.

However, it would do no harm to raise a ticket to WiiM using the more/feedback section in the WiiM Home app in case they can see anything in your app/device logs that might point to where the issue might be.

In the interim, you may need to use Bluetooth to the target device - you shouldn’t notice much of a difference (if any) in quality.
I’ve been told that there’s no difference in quality between AirPlay and Bluetooth. I inquired extensively before buying an Amp Pro, since streaming from iOS is my main use case. It works very well and sounds great to me.
