Amazon Music Amazon Music wiim ultra functionality

Hi,

I’ve tried several steps to get Amazon Music working with Alexa, but I’m still stuck:
  1. I updated my payment details and changed the address to the US on the Amazon Music webpage — no success.
  2. I even created a new US-based Amazon Music account. While I can now click the Amazon Alexa icon, the option to stream still doesn’t appear in the Amazon app.
  3. Interestingly, it does work in the Alexa app, but not in the Amazon Music app.
I’m honestly exhausted trying to figure this out. Maybe someone from Poland who has successfully set this up could help......

1. You have to ask polish Amazon support (chat) to move all of your devices to UK - than you should see them at https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/mycd/digital-console/alldevices

2. Then you should add UK address to your addresses at: Your Account > Your Addresses and maybe set it as a default.

3. I'm not sure if this step is needed, but you can try to change your language settings to English (UK) both in the Alexa app and Wiim Alexa settings.

I did so and it works for me. It took me almost a month to figure it out and check all possible solutions. At first I tried exactly the same as you, to move devices to US and add US address - but it didn't work.

You don't have to do anything with your payment details or create another account.

I was really skeptical about doing this, but it looks like I pulled it off — and it actually works now! 😃😃😃👍👍

I followed steps 1 and 2: changed the address and then used chat support to move the devices to the UK.

Huge thanks for the support, @Burnside & @MSdt 🤪👍— much appreciated!

I’ve just started testing, and while the Amazon app doesn’t display the audio quality, it seems like everything is working correctly and not limited to 16/44.1. In the WiiM app, the numbers do show up. , I think they are correct?

Good news. Re the resolution when casting, the Amazon Music app hasn’t shown that for a good few years but I’d take the WiiM Home app’s word for it.
