Amp Ultra, screen off setting

There seems to be an issue with this setting where it turns back on for volume changes, or when a new track starts playing, and then it stays on until standby mode activates. I don't mind other than if I want to use it in a dark room it'd be nice to have the screen more off for that listening session.

Is this a bug, or something I've set wrong in the app?

Mine stays off, sldo during volume adjustments. Off is off completely.
Make sure to toggle the right button (at the very top, Screen Display), not just the standby screen.

So if I want this for my bedroom where I listen in the dark before going to sleep and want zero light, that's achievable using the toggles? With no wake exceptions you're aware of? If I can do that as simply as toggling a setting in the app and it holds, I'd order the Amp Ultra for this room. If getting it to go dark and stay dark until I toggle back on doesn't do that and I'm in the "cover it with a post-it note" kind of "fix", might as well opt for the Amp Pro. May not be a big issue for most, but for someone like me with chronic insomnia, that little visual disruption can cost some much needed sleep.

Also, pardon my ignorance, but what is "sldo"?

In the Amp Ultra screen settings, turn off "Screen Display" and turn on "Wake up Screen on Touch Only".


Also, turn off "Status Light" in the device settings screen.


This will turn off the screen and LED.

With this setting, the screen will only light up when you touch it. It will turn off 20 seconds after you finish operating it.

And enabling "Turn Off Screen in Standby Mode" will switch off the screen during standby mode.
