I have several Pros that I have in non critical listening areas, but I use piCorePlayer touchscreens on my 3 dedicated listening areas, one just audio, and 2 audio/theater.

To use with just a power amp and sub, I use(d) miniDSP 2x4 HDs and I never got the systems to sound good. I just tried a WiiM Ultra. I feed it with an optical cable from my picoreplayer and it only took a few minutes to get better sound. I expect even better results when I give it more time with the RoomFit, EQ, and trying different DAC filters. For non-professionals, I find a graphic EQ easier to use then a PEQ. The Ultra has both!

My question is, for RoomFit, I have a miniDSP UMik and was wondering if it would be better to use then the mike on my Samsung S9Ultra? Just as I came back to this forum, I seen a similar post, but was not sure how it works about hijacking threads. Some LMS forum threads go on for thousands of pages and some other forums don't like that! I don't know how it is here, but I don't want to be flamed even if I have the best of intentions.

Anyway, the Ultra is already a win! I hope they update the Windows app to support EQ functions as I am a PC guy, not a handheld device guy.

Thanks!

I have the files. What do I import it to? To the WiiM home Android app? Also, I have 2 files, one for the mic pointed up and one for horizontal. Which should I use?

THANKS!

To the WiiM home Android app?
Exactly. The import function is in the RoomFit settings.

Also, I have 2 files, one for the mic pointed up and one for horizontal. Which should I use?
That's simple: Use the one matching the mic orientation you intend to use. :) Both options are fine within the frequency range that should be used for room correction.
