Hi all,
I'm new here and a noob about wiim. I did read the entire wiim pro manual and so posts about multiroom setup but couldn't find my answer. Here's the setup I'd like to achieve:
3 zones:
Z1: living room with 4 speakers
Z2: outdoor with 2 speakers
Z3: bedroom with 2 speakers
Each zone will have its own amp:
Z1: Yamaha R-S300 w/ 4 speakers
Z2: Fosi Audio TB10D
Z3: Fosi Audio TB10D
I would connect a Wiim Pro on each of those amps.
Will I be able to achieve the following:
1. Play different music in each zone. Not essential but would be a plus.
2. Sync without issue all zones using my Android phone
3. Play Spotify or YouTube Music or Tidal by a very simple "Cast to any combination of the 3 zones (all, just one, just two, etc.) from an iPad, iPhone or Android
4. Control the volume independently in each zone from the tablet or phones.
It's a simple setup yet I can't find any diagram providing a similar multiroom example in the manual or online.
I find it confusing when people say "you can only control wiim devices from a wiim pro". What is a wiim device? I just want to control those three amps.
I won't use a DAC but understand I could add one per amp at a later time if I wish to improve the overall sound quality.
Thank you for any input on this.
Cheers!
