Hey There,
I'm in the process of setting up my Wiim setup (5 Wiim devices w/ 2 multi-zone amps), and I'm migrating from Sonos. I'd love to clarify my understanding of how things should be set up.
My amplifier is an AudioControl Director M4800 4-zone (8 channel) amplifier. I can assign either an analog or digital input to each zone, and I can set the maximum volume level with the AudioControl device, but my goal is to use each Wiim for volume control, and just set a max volume for each zone on the amplifier.
Questions...

Questions...
- If I use my AudioControl amp, can I still use either digital coax or toslink connection AND have volume control with the Wiim app? Or do I need to do analog RCA output from the Wiim in order to use volume control?
- I am considering using an HDMI eARC extractor for the audio (1 of my zones has a TV), and the extractor supports raising and lowering the volume, but is there a way to do this with a Wiim Pro? If I have the volume coming in via RCA from the extractor into the Wiim, the TV volume will come in at a higher / lower level, but the Wiim volume will also have its adjustment applied on the output before going to the amp. In other words, as I think through this, the only way to have my TV volume in sync with Wiim is to use a Wiim Ultra... right? The extractor path won't work here, I don't think.
