Any thoughts about the Paradigm Monitor 9 (v7) with the Amp Pro ?

Thinking hard about the Wiim Amp Pro to replace my Yamaha WXA-50.

I have a pair of Monitor 9v7, I like them on the Yamaha. Will the do good on a Amp Pro?
Any thoughts or experience ?

Why do I want to replace the WXA-50?
I think the Pro is comparable but more modern and with more options (like Tidal Connect and maybe Youtube music soon).

And I expect to be able to sell the Yamaha for a nice price.

According to this review ...

... by a magazine from Poland the impedance and sensitivity rating given by Paradigm are way higher than they really are, but I don't see a problem there. The WiiM Amp Pro can easily handle 4 ohm speakers and it offers a bit more power than the WXA-50, too.

Unless you need something the amp pro has (such as hdmi arc and it being a single box solution), for a little more cash I'd be tempted to get a wiim pro and a vibelink (and a trigger cable!) over the amp pro.

With my Paradigms, the amp pro didn't sound anywhere near as good as the vibelink.
The amp pro did sound pretty good with some other floorstanders and standmounts I have (which are more price aligned with the monitor 9s, for whatever that's worth), but the vibelink was notably better.

There are pros and cons to each of these choices and it might well be that the amp pro with those Paradigms works fine.

even if at 2.5k... a peak at 25ohm... personally, on principle, I would gently move away from this kind of amplification technology...
I know I don't know if high in frequency but... there are many other approaches which would not raise doubts... pffb or not ...
(and it may in any case be more demanding to operate than many modest 2-voice libraries etc.)

;-)

(Hey... gives me the idea to perhaps measure with the little fosi , from friend, without pffb a library which has a peak at.....90ohms...yes.... in the same area... ;-) )

Nice, a WiiM mini is also an option then I guess?
HDMI and single box are options I like ;)

imo the vibelink really needs a trigger cable, so the mini is out.
While the mini is good at what it does, the pro does quite a bit more.
Ethernet, trigger, coax, squeezelite, qobuz connect to name a few.
