Hi All, I’m new to this! I can only see/play a small portion of my iTune collection. System does not seem able to see te rest of the tracks? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! WiiM Home
Source is my iPhone. I connect via wifiWhat are you using as the source, and how are you connecting it to your WiiM device?
I note you are not using Apple Music,
Library is in my iPhone which I connect via WiFi. How would I check if files are protected?Where is your iTunes library, and does it contain any protected DRM tracks?
I use the WiiM app. It doesn’t seem to see all the files, only the same 20 or so. None of the files (tracks) are older than probably 2014 ish.I’m not entirely sure, I’d need to do some research.
Leaving WiiM aside for a moment, what app do you use on your phone to play your tracks? Normally the WiiM app will see every local file that the iOS Music app does.

So if you have music that you purchased before that time you might run into problems. I’m not 100% positive but anything after 2009 you should be good.

I think my post above (#11) might be confusing, because I made some assumptions that are just flat out wrong. But I still think it has something to do with the ID’s you’re using to sign into Apple Music. How exactly are you using the WiiM Home app to “see all the files”?I use the WiiM app. It doesn’t seem to see all the files, only the same 20 or so. In terms of iOS devices and their sandboxed approach, the WiiM app only sees what’s in the shared music area I.e what the iOS Music app sees. It would be useful if the OP compared the Music app and the WiiM home app to see what the differences are.I think my post above (#11) might be confusing, because I made some assumptions that are just flat out wrong. I’m lost here … where/how in the WiiM app can you see the Apple Music library? When I switch the input source to WiFi, there’s no Apple option. Last I heard is there’s no native Apple Music support, and only a handful of WiiM devices support AirPlay. If you have the Apple Music iOS app you can allow WiiM to see it under My Music.I’m lost here … where/how in the WiiM app can you see the Apple Music library? Note I carefully said the iOS Music app, not mentioning Apple MusicI’m lost here … where/how in the WiiM app can you see the Apple Music library? Interesting. I always considered Music and Apple Music to be one and the same, but the former is really just the interface to access the contents of the latter. Anyway … my Music app has a crap-ton of albums in my library (all in the cloud, nothing is physically on my phone), but only one album shows up under My Music in the WiiM app. Oh, look, that one album IS on my phone - I must have inadvertently downloaded it. But I find Music easy enough to navigate and just Bluetooth from my phone, so I haven’t really been wanting for an alternative.Note I carefully said the iOS Music app, not mentioning Apple Music
The My Music option in the WiiM home app will display audio files it finds on your iPhone/ipad which translates (in my experience) to the handful of files I synced from my PC iTunes library to test access from the WiiM app. The WiiM app won’t see any files the Music app doesn’t see, so if you have them elsewhere on your iPhone, in Files or elsewhere, they won’t be picked up.

But I guess the question for @SPeck is, are you sure your entire library is physically on your phone? You can see in the Music app when you display the album - in the upper right corner, a check mark will indicate that it’s been saved on the device, a down-pointing arrow means it’s in your library but not on your device.
I’ve been kind of half wondering what it would take to download my music library to a central data store that I could stream to the Amp Ultra over WiFi, but I don’t know enough about the tech, and it would probably end up being a bigger investment than it would ever be worth, if it’s even doable without replacing my whole home network. Having everything in the cloud and accessible from any Apple device is so damn easy and convenient, and it all sounds satisfyingly good. Why would I mess with that.Personally I see Apple Music as the streaming service, and ITunes as a local library with the Music app as the common control point. And as you suggest, perhaps the OP hasn’t synced his iCloud/iTunes library with his iPhone in order for files to be downloaded to his device as I did with a couple albums to test playback on my WiiM.
