The BBC recently removed its radio HLS streams, but replacements have been found by Garfield Lucas and posted on his Garfnet web site: Latest BBC HLS streams

I have found that if you copy/paste the rewindable 320k stream links from the text files he provides, the Wiim player plays the stream fully rewound, i.e. 6 hours behind live, with no means to scroll through the timeline. Support for that would be nice, since it would be one alternative solution to the problem with trying to use Alexa (see Rewinding live BBC radio with Alexa commands).

The non-rewindable stream links do work, but used as-is they stream at 96k. To get the higher quality 320k streams, it’s just a matter of editing the url and replacing 96000 with 320000.

Thanks for the help and advice. In the end, the BBC radio app in Wiim streams at 16/48 so that's fine, as good / probably better than my Denon FM tuner.

As I wrote in another section, BBC radio station can be recovered by retuning them in the music services pane of the browse section of the wiim app and re-assigning them to my presets.

Also, see this thread where the use of revised URLs and Open Network Stream is discussed

I think they mean deleting the existing preset and re-doing them afresh, but I’m not sure if that’s resolved it for everyone
Happened to me on Monday 27 Jan 2025, radio 2 not working, 6 music fine. Tried deleting & adding preset & radio 2 still dead. Could only get radio 2 by using voice command with remote, it seems to open up stream from BBC sounds & plays but you can't save it as preset for some reason. New to wiim ultra, only set up last weekend , thanks

When you use voice, it’s the Alexa cloud service that’s providing the stream - you can’t preset a cloud service request.
