I agree but I guess it might require a significant amount of development and might have a limited audience outside the uk and those elsewhere with good taste

Incorrect, It is a full BBC sounds implementation using the BBC sounds API

FYI I don't think LMS or any off its major plugins does any website scraping these days.

PS. The BBC Sounds plugin in LMS is absolutely first class - it was written by @expectingtofly but he's too modest to shout about it.

Pity, there's a lot of users that will miss this for a variety of reasons. Wonder if it'll impact the BBC Sounds plugin on LMS?

Edit: @RyanWithWiiM @WiiM Team @WiiM Support - I guess this will mean that you'll need to drop BBC from your app for non UK users? I think at least you need to let users know the impact on your app

More likely copyright problems.

There is already many services that are only local. I can for example not access "Pandora". I'm sure that is due to copyrights.

Or the rights owners trying to squeeze more money out of broadcasters and aggregators as Sony and Warner Bros did with Tunein UK which resulted in the removal of access to many international radio stations for UK users.

Or even medium - as a kid I'd listen to AFN Germany on medium wave between Radio Luxembourg sessions on an old Pye battery radio. And then there was Radio Moscow. Such fun times!

It is unfortunate but that’s their prerrogative. On the surface it would appear that BBC worldwide access would bring attention/interest/benefit to the UK, but only they know.
