Bluetooth input from Chromecast really bad

I recently upgraded from a Pro Plus to an Ultra. Apart from music I use the Wiim to play the sound when watching videos on ChromeCast by selecting the Wiim as the ChromeCast audio output (via BT) then to speakers. This worked perfectly on the Pro Plus (once a latency problem was sorted by a software update). On the U;tra the audio is just awful - Pulsating at around 1 second cycles with added crackling - I've had to go back to a cheap stand alone BT receiver. Any advice on how to get this issue sorted would be appreciated..

I'm confused.
Chromecast is not Bluetooth. Chromecast plays audio over Wi-Fi as well as DLNA.

Can you tell me what path your system is taking to get sound out of the speakers?

Phone -> (Chromecast) -> Ultra -> (Bluetooth)-> Speakers

Is this correct?

I think they mean a Google Chromecast device, not the protocol. Sounds as if they are using that device to send the audio over Bluetooth to the Ultra.

Submit a ticket to WiiM when this happens so they can inspect your logs for evidence of the issue. Are there any close by devices that might be causing interference?

Hi Wilmer.. Chromecast is the source using Netfix or You Tube app.on Google TV > Wiim via Bluetooth (Chromecast can send audio to BT receivers and it automatically lists the Wiim as a option) > Stereo.amp> speakers. Using the same BT output from the Chromcast to a seperate BT receiver wirks perfectly..

Hi.. will do.. I'll check for interference but the same BT to an inexpensive BT receiver works fine.. Thanks

The Chromcast is connected to a projector about 4m from.the Wiim.. that's why I'm using BT rater than a physical connection ..
Is the Ultra installed in exactly the same location as the Pro Plus was previously located?

If you are sitting between the projector and the Ultra, you could be an obstruction.

Normal Ultra Bluetooth can communicate with devices up to 30 metres away if there is no interference.
