Bluetooth output lagging

Hello
I have a problem with a bluetooth output on Amp and Amp Pro. The sound comes with a delay compared to picture. I have LG CX and an old sony tv. LG has a bluetooth output for sound, and it doesn’t have a delay.
Amp/Amp Pro is connected to HDMI-Arc. Analog output doesn’t have a delay.
Any solutions for that?

I have the exact same problem - WInAMP Pro connected to Samsung OLED via HDMI/ARC. When listening through BT headphones, major sound lag. Very annoying.

Maybe try and external Bluetooth transmitter?
I thought about that too, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a WiiM with built-in BT transmitter capabilities? If listening to Lossless music through Roon to a high-end set of BT headphones, would there be any quality loss going through a separate transmitter?

If the transmitter's BT codec is of a similar grade as the headphones then there shouldn't be any further quality loss beyond that inherent in BT transmission

Processing in the WiiM will add a delay as does processing of the Bluetooth if you connect to the TV directly with your headphones. As far as I remember if the TV is used as Bluetooth Output device it will automatically synchronize the video output so there is no delay in the Bluetooth output signal. However WiiM devices can't do that so there will always be a delay between video and audio.

So in order to avoid the delay you will have to connect your headphones directly to the TV via Bluetooth.

And if a tv doesn,t support bleutooth you can use a bluetooth transmitter. You can connect it within the USB bus.

If you have lag, pause your video then turn off the amp with the remote. Wait a second then turn the amp on and play the video. Works on my WiiM amp pro.
I do not have this problem with my Roku tv or my bluesound powernode. I wish WiiM would fix this.

Have you put in feedback through our app to get details to the CS team about this? If not, it'd be great to get it in front of them.

Would use of a USB BT Transmitter also be a way to have simultaneous output to speakers and BT? Or are they considered two separate outputs? If so, is there a way to mute speakers but not USB?

WiiM devices don’t support multiple simultaneous outputs

Yeah, unless your tv can compensate for Bluetooth’s inherent latency, that’s not incorrect advice…
Except bluesound and roku and yamaha can sync audio using Bluetooth without issues. Other than that, I love the wiim amp.

Can you elucidate on the particular devices you are quoting and whether this is done with software supplied with those devices or 3rd party ?

My TCL roku tv using the roku app transmits to headphones connected to my android phone or iPad without sync issues. My bluesound powernode has bluetooth transmission and works flawlessly, as did my yamaha rx-v485. In my earlier reply I showed how to get it to work with the wiim amp. This is all I have to say on the matter.

How long is the delay with WiiM amp?

There used to be a delay of over 1000ms, but an update should have reduced it to about 100ms now.

Using this test (wiim amp pro)
Before workaround 300ms
After workaround 100ms
