Can’t link Alexa in the app…?

Hey, I have wanted to Alexa cast music to my new Wiim pro plus, I have Amazon music and ready. For some reason when I go in the Alexa streaming area in settings it only shows a language choice and nothing else. I’ve tried all the usual reboot and reload actions for all the apps. No good. Both my iPhone and the Wiim are connected to my home WiFi. Any ideas?

That's all that should show in the WiiM app.

Does your WiiM device appear under Echo&Alexa devices in the Alexa app and as a target AlexaCast device (with a round cast icon) in the speaker/connection list in the Amazon Music app?

I believe you need to be looking in Browse, Music Services, Amazon Music.
@Burnside Or am I misremembering, and is that only if you want to use amazon from within wiim?
I'm sure you used to have to do two things!!

That's unrelated to AlexaCast though, you can use that to play Amazon Music without any Alexa/AlexaCast involvement

Yeah, that's just to access Amazon Music from the WiiM Home app

I'm sure you used to have to do two things!!

To use AlexaCast from the Amazon Music app, you need to link your WiiM device to Alexa in the WiiM Home app.

In fact, given your Amazon Music subscription will be using the same account as Alexa, you really shouldn't need to link Amazon Music in the WiiM Home app unless you want to use it from there too.

Does it show in the Alexa app?

Try power cycling your WiiM then log out of Alexa in the WiiM Home app and back in again and see if it then appears in the Alexa app.

Reboot of Wiim pro plus and then Alexa cast enablement on set up did the trick.
