Can WiiM mini play Tidal Dolby Atmos?

I'm considering connecting a WiiM mini via toslink to my receiver enjoy higher quality music than Spotify curently does. I'm fond of the growing Dobly Atmos library Tidal offers, but I'm not sure what will happen when I will stream this type of music using Tidal Connect on the WiiM mini. My receiver (Onkyo TX-NR686) supports Dobly Atmos, but has a very poor native integration with Tidal.

Will I be able to enjoy Dolby Atmos music via the WiiM mini when connected to my Onkyo receiver? If not, what will happen? Will Dobly Atmos music not play at all, or will it be converted automatically to a playable format?

WiiM devices don’t support Dolby Atmos and I would expect Tidal not to offer it as an option when playing to a WiiM device.

Maybe I should go for the WiiM mini connected via toslink for Hi-Res audio and manage the Dolby Music separately via Tidal. I can use the Onkyo Connect app to browse the Tidal folder structure and play any Atmos music. A bit clumsy, but cheap & workable workaround. Most of the music I listen to is 'normal' recorded music anyways.
