Coaxial output doesn't output the correct format of the signal

Here is the link of my digital path, CD player -> WiiM Pro + -> Dac, I am pretty sure that the CD player outputs 16bit 44.1khz signal to the Wiim Pro + but the Dac shows the input signal is 24 bits 44.1khz when I set the max output of the coaxial of Wiim pro + to 24bits and it shows 16bits 44.1khz if I set the max output to 16bits. Does anyone know why it is and have experience of it? If so what is the cause of it? It is not a big issue but it is just annoying that every time I want to listen to CD, I have to manually change the max output.

Update: When max is set to 24 bits but disable the eq, my DAC is able to detect it is 16 bits while, when eq is enabled it becomes 24 bits again. Interestingly, it does not apply to the streaming content even if it is streaming with 16bits 44.khz file.
