Hello everybody!
I cannot stream from youtube music original app for android with chromecast. Both devices connected to the same 5ghz network. I push chromecast icon, choose Wiim, then "connecting" appears and nothing happends. If i choose another source to stream with chromecast - streaming starts normally. If i try to stream from another app with chromecast - its works without any troubles. Streaming with chromecast with third party app AirMusicCl also works fine. Also works streaming with google home app, as described here. Any ideas, how to fix it?
Android 14
Youtube music 7.23.51 with premium plan
Wiim pro with latest firmware

Screenshots of how you use YouTube and play on the mini would help us better understand what you’re doing. Sounds like Bluetooth so far which given the quality of YouTube audio could well be more than sufficient. But as said previously, the Pro supports Bluetooth as well as Chromecast, although using that needs YouTube premium.

No, a WiiM Mini doesn’t have the necessary hardware to support Chromecast
Thank you for your quick response. Now I know that all attempts are in vain. :))) However, I have a question about solving this problem. If I send music via Chrome Cast to another streamer, e.g. Wiim Pro, can I send the same music to the Wiim Mini in question via a group connection?
Or any other solution for YT Music playing…?

No, all devices in a Chromecast group (and they need to be grouped in the Google home, not WiiM app) need to support Chromecast - it’s a Google, not WiiM constraint.

Have you tried linking the wiims in the WiiM app then bluetoothing to the main speaker?

Hopefully when WiiM get round to implementing YTM, we won’t have these constraints

Thx.
The implementation of YT Music will solve many issues.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that it will happen soon.
