Could not stream from youtube music with chromecast

Hello everybody!
I cannot stream from youtube music original app for android with chromecast. Both devices connected to the same 5ghz network. I push chromecast icon, choose Wiim, then "connecting" appears and nothing happends. If i choose another source to stream with chromecast - streaming starts normally. If i try to stream from another app with chromecast - its works without any troubles. Streaming with chromecast with third party app AirMusicCl also works fine. Also works streaming with google home app, as described here. Any ideas, how to fix it?

Wiim pro with latest firmware

Reboot/power cycle your router and WiiM device, and perhaps delete and re-install the YouTube music app to see if any of those help

In that case, submit a ticket to WiiM via the settings/feedback section in the WiiM home app so WiiM can inspect your device logs for clues.

you can from a web browser or in the case of Android cast at the device level rather than the app level.
I started the Toutube app on an Android tablet and then set the device to cast to my Pro and it works

You are both correct as YouTube and YouTube Music are two different apps. YouTube won't work, but YouTube Music will.

Anyhow, try the suggestion in #5. Since casting with other apps works, and your device did show up as an option, it means your device is not loading the YT Music web player, likely due to network issues. You should submit a feedback to YT Music if changing DNS doesn't help.

Updated. Yesterday my youtube music app show to me, that Wiim connected, also wiim app was showing the same, but the play button was inactive.

YouTube Music is currently not integrated as the music source in our companion App. However, with Apple devices, you can use AirPlay to listen to YouTube Music. On Android devices, you can use Bluetooth.
For WiiM Pro, WiiM Pro Plus, WiiM Amp, WiiM Ultra owners, Chromecast is available and can cast YouTube Music to their WiiM device.
How about downloading YouTube Music locally? For personal use, there are many online tools can do that.

I can play music from YouTube Music Premium via Chromecast from my Android 14 to my Wiim Pro Plus, I'm in Mexico.

WiiM Mini doesn’t have Chromecast and the Pro works well with Chromecast. Have you enabled Chromecast for the Pro and do you have YouTube Premium?
