Dayton microphone on Wiim amp ultra to improve Roomfit?

I've use the Dayton Audio mic with Android and a quick test with an audio analyzer outside of the Wiim app showed me the internal microphone basically cut off both the low- as well as the top end. IIRC anything above 16 kHz was not picked up. And that made a noticeable difference for Roomfit.
Yes, phone built-in mics can have really significant response variations, which can definitely degrade RoomFit results.

On iOS devices this is partially mitigated by the generic calibrations included in the iOS WHA, but for Android WHA there's unfortunately no such thing (at least not yet).

In any case, IMHO a calibrated measurement microphone is a worthwhile investment for audio enthusiasts.
