Deezer Deezer won't play from Wiim home app

if i understand correctly, deezer is changing api and it's a problem...ok, bad deezer, but this kind of thing would make problem for EVERYBODY, every manufacturer....but, no, only wiim still have problem?

i have 2 sonos speakers as well and never since i have them i noticed something like new deezer api...it works just fine all the time...as far as i can tell, no other manufacturer have such problem as well...? sonos as well have deezer incorporated into its own app...

it makes me think something is wrong on wiim side...

I just started a new trial with Apple Music and probably will just stick with that now. I used to be with them months ago and liked them. Only reason I left was basically just to try out other services. I have a raspberry pi with moode audio setup also and the airplay on that works and sounds good to my ears at least.

It DOESN'T "work for everybody else". Visit several of their user forums...

The ones where id does work are the ones that embed a DEEZER Native App (think Eversolo - running Android and using DEEZER Android App).
This is also why "it works on my PC/Mac/iPhone/Android" - because DEEZER was working on these in parallel with changes to their Server API.

So far, we have only one link to forum where ONE person talks about problem with Deezer.
Well, you read forums, tell us please what other streamer brand has problems with this new Deezer API.

So, brand names please.

In the Deezer app, under audio output selection, only Bluetooth devices are available. WiiM Mini does not appear as a selectable device over Wi-Fi.
If WiiM could be used over Wi-Fi as an output device, the issue would likely be resolved. Alternatively, a software update from WiiM may be required to support the latest Deezer API changes.
At the moment, it seems that no action is being taken, and both sides are redirecting the responsibility to each other. Meanwhile, the device is not functioning properly with Deezer.

The Mini do not support Google Cast (Chromecast). And as Deezer don't have its own casting protocol, your only option is Bluetooth. On the other WiiMs you can use the Google Cast.

We don't know if WiiM and Deezer is working on a solution. Neither @WiiM Support nor Deezer is providing any information.

Reply from Deezer support after few mails:
(It was a long mails from me about WiiM support or lack of it or nonexisting support and Deezer's lack of whatever they have with API or their support)

Hello Nik,

Thank you for your message and for sharing the additional context. I completely understand how frustrating this has been, especially since it has been ongoing for two months and affects many WiiM users.

As mentioned earlier, I’ve escalated your case to our Technical Team, and it is being treated with priority. Our team is actively working to resolve this, but unfortunately, I don’t yet have an exact timeline for the fix.

I completely understand your concern about switching devices, and I assure you that resolving this is important to us. Once I receive updates from the Technical Team, I’ll contact you immediately with the next steps and any timeline they provide.

Thank you so much for your patience and for being a loyal Deezer user. We really appreciate it, and we’re doing everything we can to get this fixed promptly.

Warm regards,
Shirah
