This issue appears to be related to Deezer’s servers, and we have already reported it to their team. If possible, we would also appreciate it if you could report the issue to Deezer on your side, as this may help speed up their investigation.
In the meantime, we have implemented additional error handling so that when a server-side error occurs, the player will automatically skip to the next track.
We have also pushed a new firmware version, 4.8.812044, to your WiiM Pro Plus.
Hello Vincent,
Thank you for contacting Deezer customer service, and I sincerely apologize for the delayed response.
I completely understand your frustration and I will assist you.
I understand the inconvenience you are experiencing with your WiiM Pro streamer via the WiiM Home app.
Following recent updates to the Deezer API, some third-party partners may indeed be experiencing malfunctions (interrupted playback, inaccessible library, empty search results). These changes sometimes require adjustments to compatible apps and devices.
In this specific case, an update needs to be deployed by the partner (WiiM) to ensure compatibility with the latest developments. I am in contact with them to assist with the resolution, but unfortunately, I am unable to provide a specific timeframe at this time.
I advise you to:
• Check that your WiiM Home app and your device are up to date
• Follow WiiM's official communications regarding this fix
I understand that this situation is frustrating and thank you for your patience while we resolve this issue.
Please don't hesitate to contact me again if needed.
Sincerely,
Landry

That looks like an honest and optimistic response - I hope WiiM will react quickly now that Deezer are also on board. Here is the Deezer's support answer
This kind of backwards incompatible API updates in unfortunately what will break our streamers in the end. Companies, like WiiM, will drown in the work of keeping the firmware up to date for all it's products. Not to say what will happen if they stop proving updates. Here is the Deezer's support answer
It may be cheap for you but it is not for everyone. So keeping it functional is important.Such chats I have with my father on a regular base. As soon as something's main function is software related we have to think in always shorter life cycles. Look at the price, that makes it easier to accept.
And your WiiM's optical input will continue to work long after firmware updates have been stopped. My 30 years old Sony CD player is still playing (and connected optically to the WiiM).
That is exactly my point. The more than 40 year old API (SPDIF) is still working. The current software based APIs changes so fast and without proper control, that the systems needs to be maintained constantly. And your WiiM's optical input will continue to work long after firmware updates have been stopped.![]()
I hope that you've provided WiiM feedback with your satisfaction by both email and WiiM Home App. That way they are more likely to expedite the "fix" code into the Firmware Update Release Cycle.Word from WiiM support this morning. At least they actually respond and try to help, unlike Deezer support so far.
I've installed the update and so far playback is hugely improved / has not stopped
Yamaha recently announced they are backing out of Alexa Voice Skills support - after at least 6 years implementation - due to "increasingly stringent conditions". It seems that Amazon added more requirements when they rolled out Alexa+...That is exactly my point. The more than 40 year old API (SPDIF) is still working. The current software based APIs changes so fast and without proper control, that the systems needs to be maintained constantly.
This Deezer issue is a good example of that. And we have seen others.
I did, but today it's a total non-functional state. Can;t even access Deezer in WiiM home app to play anything.I hope that you've provided WiiM feedback with your satisfaction by both email and WiiM Home App. That way they are more likely to expedite the "fix" code into the Firmware Update Release Cycle.
"Can't Access"?? Did you disable Deezer as a Streaming Service on the Browse / Music Services (Customize) page??I did, but today it's a total non-functional state. Can;t even access Deezer in WiiM home app to play anything.
No, I logged out of Deezer with the intention of logging back in to refresh it."Can't Access"?? Did you disable Deezer as a Streaming Service on the Browse / Music Services (Customize) page??
This happens to me too... waiting for a new firmware. Hope they fix this issue. No, I logged out of Deezer with the intention of logging back in to refresh it.
Took me 5 attempts to log back in again, failing all the time for no reason.
Once back in, my library shows up as empty. playlists are empty. favourite tracks is empty, albums are empty...
Can't play any content - so I am back to using chromecast from the actual Deezer app like some poor peasant![]()
I hope you are aware that this is not just a WiiM issue. Deezer has updated their API without making it backward compatible and without informing (all) the streaming device companies. It keeps geting worse and worse... today it's finally dead... no WiiM products for me in the future
