Deezer Deezer won't play from Wiim home app

We shouldn't talk about it. We should file for compensation. Deezer didn't provide the services we paid for. Then the problem will be resolved very quickly. The community rightly called for people to register their non-working time and file for compensation.

But...$12/month for "all you can eat" music is a great bargain. Switching streaming services is easy too. Let's keep some perspective

That $12 goes to pay Billionaires yachts and private islands, not to the Artists. And then when the Billionaires get pissy with each other, they block your access to your favorite bands and demand more money from you. Once a CD is bought, it remains paid-for. There are many perspectives...

I get your point, but no it's another topic entirely. I've bought stuff that's advertised as working with Deezer. Deezer works fine alone. It doesn't on wiim app as advertised, that's all.

Hi people. Same damn thing here. Very frustrating. It started out of the blue. Tidal here we go. The issue comes from deezer or wiim after all? Because as far as I know, deezer works fine alone. So, just in case the issue persists, we'll have to move to another streaming service or another streaming device?

Just read this thread from the beginning. The answer is right here. It's a temporary issue that was caused by a Deezer changing their API (and made changes not compatible with the previous version) and WiiM not updating to that API on their end, yet.

The reasons for the latter are debated by some. In any case it's pretty clear that whatever keeps WiiM from incorporating these changes will be resolved..

Do you have CDs and vinyl?

Not yet. I mostly listen to older music, so it’s actually more cost-effective to buy a cd player and own my favorite albums. In the long run, it’s cheaper than paying for a monthly subscription.

CDs can break or fail, but so can cars, ovens and light bulbs. At least with physical media, it's easier to fix the issue quickly.

I read some users are "solving" the problem momentarily using chromecast via deezer and wiim? Somebody could please tell me how to do that. Coz I dont have any other device apart from wiim mini.

Unfortunately, the Mini is not compatible with Chromecast.

Android here. Bluetooth codecs are poor. So, I think I am going to hibernate for a while. Can anybody wake me up when this nightmare is done?

I am also having a problem with Deezer. The album contents are not loading in the app. Clicking on a song doesn't work - the music won't play. These issues have been happening more and more frequently for several weeks now.

Last night I installed Tidal for a month to try, probably will be back to Spotify too (long time ago was subscriber), will try Quobuz maybe. As for WiiM - bye bye... lots of streamers, lots of streaming services. So you can negotiate over API for 100 more years.

No. It runs great.
Problem for me is I can't trust WiiM employees if similar thing happens do they look for solution or send a mail and wait to fix it itself. So bye bye WiiM, bye bye Deezer.

Not gonna rush it but there is so many interesting things exist in tech world

As this is an update gone wrong for Deezer, WiiM is waiting for Deezer to fix it. That seems to take a long time.
