Devices not showing up in AirPlay (but show up in Spotify under “on other networks”)

Hey! I have an Airplay problem. For context, I have two C10s and two A10s. All hooked up to the same network (Eero mesh network). Love the WiiM and love my errors. They work well on Spotify. The devices directly and the groups work well, no issues.

But, notice how the devices show up under “on other networks” within Spotify…



Spotify works well with WiiM. However, Airplay does not.

You’ll notice under Airplay only one of the WiiMs shows up. The others are not accessible. Very odd… (screenshot below).

Also odd: when I click on Living Room WiiM on Airplay (below), it actually streams to ALL four of the WiiMs. Which is very odd. Because that’s not the group name, that’s the name of one of the C10s. It shouldn’t stream to all…




Here are the network settings within WiiM. All devices are the same.



Do you have any suggestions on what to do?

Probably a silly question, but is the device with the Spotify app connected to the same network as the other WiiMs?

Yes, all the same network. Same house. All on an Eero Mesh network.

That does not mean they are on the same network address subnet.
AFAIK the default for Eero nodes is that each runs its own DHCP server and address pool
what are the IP addreses of Laundry Wiim and Lounge Wiim ?

In my setup the WiiM's appear as "on other network" as well when I am using Spotify. But they also show up on the local network but as Chromecast endpoints. My network has one subnet and one DHCP server. It doesn't bother me, but I have no idea why it works that way.

What is the IP address of your phone?

Please try disabling IPv6 for your WiiM devices in the WiiM Home App and see if that resolves the issue. If the problem persists, kindly submit a feedback ticket, and we’ll troubleshoot it for you.

Two weird things still:
1) groups still do not show up in Airplay
2) for some reason the wiim devices still say “on other networks” in Spotify. Doesn’t bother me, just worth noting.

How do I get groups to show up in airplay?

The group created in the WiiM Home App won’t be available for AirPlay, as Apple AirPlay uses its own multi-room technology, which isn’t compatible with our grouping system.

I'll ask our team to investigate the issue regarding "on other networks" in Spotify. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
