i am looking into using tubes for the first time, im a noobie. Now i have my wiim ultra as a pre amp to the main in of my yamaha as1100. How could i incorporate tube pre amps into this. So i want to use a tube pre amp while still being able to use streaming and watching tv. Is this possible ? Or would it be easier to switch to tubes for music ? your help is much appreciated.

That's all. Hmm i was afraid of that. They say tube amps are pricey and need lots of maintenance so thats for another day. Thanks though!If you want to connect a subwoofer to the WiiM Ultra, then the Ultra must be the device controlling the volume.
There's no real point in adding a pre-amp (be it valve or solid state), because you couldn't use its volume control but had to keep it fixed at all time. If you want tube sound, go with a tube power amp.
