To those who have disconnected issues on WiiM Mini after updating the firmware. Been going through super nightmare to reset, rebooting & keep asking to reset the WiFi router. It still doesn’t work.
Finally found out to change the power brick to 2.5amp. Then only problem solved. WiiM should advice the community to do that after updating the new firmware SUCKS !!! WiiM should come with the 2.5amp power brick. Pretty disappointing to solve this issues.

strange because the mini consumes much less than p 0.5a... clarify your point?

There are no known issues that I'm aware of after updating the firmware on the WiiM Mini in general.

There are also no requirements to change to a 2.5 A power supply, as mine are working perfectly well with a 1 A power supply.

If I don’t do that it will persistently to reconnect off n ON or rebooting the device & my WiFi router. It won’t work till I’ve change the Apple power brick. Maybe please read the this community forum or else why should we trouble ourselves to explore where by following the instructions given unable to work.

The Amazon Canada listing for WiiM Mini suggests it should be a 5V/2A USB power supply. But it also suggests it varies by country and some may not include the adapter. If you were using a 5V/0.5A supply then it may not have enough juice to fully power the Mini.

By default WiiM should have provide respective countries distributors the electricity specification voltage before ship to them. As many other part of countries have different voltage specification. But the weird thing was after updating the latest WiiM firmware I have issues reconnecting issues. I bought this WiiM Mini (5V/0.5A) is included the power adapter. Please read the forum community that many user have this issues after updating firmware. Please help your customer. Some user have no choice to make it work by changing the adapter power brick. I'm using my old Apple Power brick (5V/1A) to replace the WiiM Mini Power adapter (5V/0.5V). The original WiiM power adapter (not enough juice) unable to use anymore after updating the WiiM latest firmware in Malaysia.

The Mini's power supply is 5V/1A, so it's odd that it comes with a 0.5A power adaptor. (I think an adaptor of 1A or more was recommended.)

Out of curiosity, can you post a photo of the adapter?

In the UK, there is no power adapter supplied with the WiiM Mini.

The manual does mention a USB Power Adapter 5V, 1A, and says that availability varies by region.

I am using an adapter that supplies 5V, 1A, and have never had any issues with my WiiM Mini devices.

but it is no secret that a certain percentage of the chargers is dangerous garbage. and it is not expensive to chose something like a raspberry pi adapter.

This is a review image of the Mini from Amazon JP, the supplied adapter is 5V/1A.

It would be very strange if 0.5A adapters were included in some countries.

My mini has always needed a restart in the 1 month I have had it to get it to connect. After the last recent update I had a much worse experience where it was not connecting at all. So I replaced the supplied 5V/1A with a 3A power supply and the problem has instantly gone away. Perhaps the supplied power supply is suboptimal or defective or has slowly failed…eg its cheap.

I don't think this was related to the firmware, I had similar issues way back when, which resolved with a better power source.
It's been working without issues ever since.

Probably my old iPhone adapter is more than 1 amp / 5V

Probably the WiiM adapter are not good. I just bought the WiiM 19th July 25. After changing by using my old Apple power adaptor works fine. Problem happen after updating the new firmware.

As reported by other members, I also think there is a issue with the adapter. I don't know the details, but the supply voltage may not be stable.
