Does it store and read from the cache before playback?

Regarding the caching issue of the WIIM, may I ask how large the cache of the Pro Plus is? Does it store and read from the cache before playback? If the cache size increases and reduces some read-write processes, will the sound quality improve? Additionally, music from a local NAS should theoretically have the lowest latency, so why does it not sound as good as streaming (under the premise of using the same audio source file)?

We don't know. Only WiiM knows exactly how it is actually implemented.

Usually a streamer device loads one or two tracks (for gapless playback) at the time to a cache. It will start playing a seconds or so after starting loading the track to play. Not waiting for the load to finish. The streamer continues to load in the background if needed.

No. The sound quality is defined by the content of the track or stream. Some streams may use adaptive bitrate, lowing the quality on slow connections.
Additionally, music from a local NAS should theoretically have the lowest latency, so why does it not sound as good as streaming (under the premise of using the same audio source file)?
There are no difference in how the tracks are streamed, so if it sounds worse it must be the audio data that are different.

Latency don't alter the audio.

Could an expert please answer me? Thank you.
