Easiest To Use File Converter (ALAC to FLAC)

On your PC search for “services”

Thanks.

I've just done that. It was on automatic (delayed start) which I changed to start. It now says it is running on the services reen but I can't see anything happening.

What do I do next?

if Lyrion(LMS) is running then open a broswer full screen and use this URL

//localhost:9000

and use the wizard to complete your config

If you do it from another device you replace localhost with the IP address of the PC

Success, I uninstalled LMS, reinstalled it, ran "Services" and when I clicked "Start" I got the welcome page.

My internet connection has been sporadically dropping out, which isn't an helping.

Now to try some music.

Thanks to all those who offered help. It really is appreciated and a credit to this forum.

For future reference

localhost means “on this PC” so will only work on the machine that is running the servver

if you lookup localhost it will return the internal IP address of “this pc” which is always 127.0.0.1 as well as the IP address assigned by your router

If the browser is running on the same PC as LMS all variants will work

If the browser is opened on another device it has to be addressed as http://ip-address-of-pc-from-router:9000

And if you have the Material Skin (which I highly recommend), you’d add “/material” to the end of the address after “:9000”

I already have material skin and used it to control LMS on my old laptop from my phone.

I have changed the address on my phone to reflect that of my new mini PC and will control LMS from that.

I have issues with LMS on PC no longer starting, but I guess if you have a always on mini PC not a problem (until you reboot)

Although probably better to use a pi4/5

As for conversion there's foobar

I've never had issues with LMS starting, either on my laptop or now on my mini PC.

I saved LMS as a bookmark on the browser on both.

When it was official release- no issues

Soon as it went over to needing strarberry perl- that's when it didn't autostart.
Not an issue as I moved over to a Pi5 anyway, and before that I had LMS on a Synology NAS.

Don't like LMS on a PC, prefer them on dedicated boxes or part of the music storage/NAS
