New to the Wiim Pro Plus WiiM Amp Pro, which I love and is replacing my Brennan B2 on which I have 15000+ tracks. These I downloaded to 256mb USB thumb drives (having discovered fairly quickly that a portable 1Tb drive wouldn't work) My problem is that most of these tracks are in .flac format and the Wiim doesn't recognise them when it scans. I have installed Cisdem Converter which converts them to mfa but it's a such a long winded process. Am I missing something or do I really have to spend hours and hours converting flac to mfa so I can play my music collection? And yes I do know that most of it will be available via Spotify / Tidal to which I subscribe.

Have you tried converting some of your existing FLACs to FLAC using the converter and loading them onto the USB? It could be that the metadata is not compliant e.g. includes ID3 tags, which hopefully a conversion will fix.
It does seem to be ambiguous as to whether the Brennan actually tags FLAC files by default or whether it relies on its folder hierarchy. Its maintainance menu does have a “tag music” entry which states “Experimental - adds tags to MP3, rewrites FLAC tags - slow Backup First.” which in itself is ambiguous implying it does tag FLAC files.
