EQ not working/Changing Sound ?

It's getting clearer now.

So, if I connect the WiiM analogously to my Audio Pro Drumfire, the DAC of the WiiM is used to convert the sound from Digital to Analogue.

The Drumfire sends this analoge sound, digitally to my other Audio Pro Speakers, which will use their own DAC.
Right?

But does this the sound of the other speakers still benefit from the DAC of the WiiM ? Or is this lost by the Drumfire converting the analogue sound back to digital?
I’d doubt you’d notice any difference tbh given that the speakers themselves need to use their DAC to convert the audio from digital to analogue.

Hello all,

In the Android WiiM app, under Settings > EQ, I change the EQ to different presets (like Dance, Techno, etc.), but I don’t hear any change in the music that is playing.
Is this normal?

Thanks,
Aster
You will have to use the EQ of the Audio Pro.
The EQ of the WiiM only applies to the physical outputs (analog and digital) of the device.

I thought so too and looked at the AudioPro control app a bit, but it seems to only have bass and treble 🤷?

Ok, thanks to everyone for the replies and help.
As a tech-noob, I understand now.

When using Multiroom, each separate speaker receives a digital signal and uses its own DAC, EQ, etc.

Now, I’ve connected the WiiM analog output to one speaker via cable, and this speaker is casting the signal further to the other speakers.
EQ is working now.
