Feature Request: Roon Ready Relay Support for WiiM Pro & Pro Plus

Background​

WiiM Pro and Pro Plus are already Roon Ready endpoints, which makes them excellent devices for streaming digital audio within the Roon ecosystem. However, their Line‑In functionality (used for vinyl players, CD players, or other analog sources) is currently not exposed to Roon as a native input.
Roon Labs recently announced Roon Ready Relay technology (link), which allows external analog or digital sources to be digitized and distributed seamlessly across the Roon ecosystem. This is a perfect match for the WiiM Pro Plus, which already has a high‑quality ADC for its Line‑In.

Request​

Enable Roon Ready Relay support on WiiM Pro and Pro Plus so that:

• The Line‑In (RCA) can be recognized in Roon as a Relay source.
• Users can stream vinyl, cassette, CD, or other analog inputs directly into Roon multiroom.
• Roon can manage these inputs with the same flexibility as digital sources (grouping, DSP, zones).

Benefits​

• Vinyl integration: Users can drop the needle and hear records throughout their Roon setup.
• Multi‑ecosystem bridge: WiiM becomes the most affordable and versatile Relay device, bridging analog sources into Roon.
• Future‑proofing: Expands WiiM’s role beyond endpoint streaming into full analog/digital source integration.
• Competitive edge: Currently, only a handful of devices (e.g., Victrola, NAD C658, Bluesound Node) support this. Adding Roon Ready Relay to WiiM would make it the most cost‑effective option.

Suggested Implementation​

• Firmware update to expose Line‑In as a Roon Ready Relay source.
• Allow configuration of sample rate/bit depth for Relay streaming (e.g., 24‑bit/96 kHz).
• Maintain existing Line‑In functionality in the WiiM Home app for non‑Roon users.

Conclusion​

Adding Roon Ready Relay support to WiiM Pro & Pro Plus would unlock a powerful new use case: bringing analog sources like vinyl into Roon multiroom. This aligns perfectly with Roon’s new Relay vision and would make WiiM the go‑to affordable solution for audiophiles who want both digital and analog integration.
