Full remote control?

I'm thinking of replacing my Sonos amp with a Wiim amp. My Sonos amp is not easy to get to but I can control everything remotely so no problem. I see the Wiim amp has a physical volume control. Do I need access to that or can everything be controlled remotely (in my case, by an Android phone)?

If anyone else has replaced a Sonos amp with a Wiim one I'd be interested in your experiences.

Everything can be controlled from the WiiM Home app - the optional WiiM remote has a subset of the app features.

Also worth noting that the remote is bluetooth, so should still work if the amp is hidden away.

I didn't realise the remote was optional for the amp; guess I just assumed it came with one.

It does indeed come with one, its use however is optional

If you plan to use the USB port as a media server you might want it accessible for updates.
