It would be great if we had the >>option<< to have the speakers automatically ungroup either after a predetermined amount of time or after playing/streaming music.
The point of multi room music is having speakers in different rooms of the home. If the speakers are left grouped together then their physical preset buttons do not work until ungrouped. That means if someone walks up to a speaker in the kitchen to play music by pressing preset 1, nothing happens because they were left in a group....
Maybe an option for the physical preset buttons to take precedence over the last app setting or something.
In Sonos a similar feature is called "Ungroup on on auto play" which automatically removes a home theater speaker from a group when the TV turns on. That way if everything was grouped with the home theater speakers for listening to music and then you go to fire up the TV for a movie, the movies sound is not broadcast to every speaker in the house.
So on WiiM, they could implement "Ungroup on physical preset button press" or something of the sort....
These devices need to be better and smarter that Sonos in order to make it...
