HDMI ~Wiim Ultra to Dac

Hi all,

Currently I have my TV connected to my Ultra via HDMI and then via, USB, the Ultra is connected to my Topping D70 Pro.

If I enable ‘fixed volume output’ on the Ultra, I am unable to control the volume using the TV remote..

I was under the impression that the ability to control the volume would be possible as the two units are connected via USB.. is this right?

That is how you would expect it to behave.

Indeed, the tv remote and hdmi cec will only control the volume of the Ultra if it’s not set to fixed volume, there’d be little logic to that otherwise. USB connection has nothing to do with controlling volume.
