Hi, I can adjust the volume with Alexa but only by giving values from 1 to 10. Is it possible to have a finer adjustment, e.g., from 1 to 100?
While I can't adjust the volume with Google Home, can anyone else?
Thanks in advance
Mauro

Ps I have an amp ultra

No, Alexa only deals with volume levels 1 to 10. You’ll see reports that you can ask for values like 43% but it always rounds it to the nearest integer.

@Mauro,
Using Alexa Routines, you can adjust the volume to your preferred level in increments of 1%. However, it is difficult to increase or decrease the volume in 1% increments.

E.g.
"Alexa, turn up volume more" -> Changed volume to 63%
"Alexa, turn up volume" -> Changed volume to 55%
"Alexa, turn down volume" -> Changed volume to 50%
"Alexa, turn down volume more" -> Changed volume to 38%

This routine has been confirmed to work with the WiiM Remote's voice control.

When you look in the Alexa or WiiM apps though, what volume shows? In my experience, it’s always round to the nearest multiple of 10%

The WiiM display shows the specified volume level.
In the Alexa Routine creation screen, you must set the Alexa Action (WILL) as follows:

"Device Settings" -> "Volume" -> 62%

Then, configure any WiiM device to operate within this routine.

If I try that, the next page confirming the action says Alexa will set the volume to 6 and the routine actions show “set volume to 6”. If I try to use a custom action of “set volume to 62 percent”, again it sets it to 60.

Your Alexa must be more compliant than mine 🤣😜

Yes, it displays as 6 on the Alexa app, but it can actually be adjusted in 1% increments. The behaviour may differ by region..🤔

When executing two routines (volume up/down) on my Amp Ultra, the volume changes directly to the specified value like this. (When adjusting via the remote, it decreases from 85 to 82 in 1% increments.)

Yeah that method will not work 😔

Incidentally, can your Echo Studio adjust the volume in 1% increments using voice control?

I recall mine could do that.
