I have a multichannel amplifier (Sonance 16-50) which has a single trigger in port,
both WiiMs will connect to this amp
how do trigger the AMP to turn on either WiiM turns the trigger?
Can I just connect it in parallel?

I understand your use case, but I don't think an off-the-shelf solution exists. You basically need a "OR" for triggers 🤔

My search, prompted by a recent poster looking to do something similar with multiple Mini's turned up nothing.

I documented myself and there is indeed a risk for the WiiMs. A diode should be used to only allow current in one direction.

Maybe some modules to abstract that exist, I'll have a look.

This old thread from AVS Forum treats the exact same use case :

The conclusion is a Y cable with diodes on the positive (red) wire of each branch of the cable, so the two positive that go to the trigger outs.

I could not find a premade cable online. It could literally cost a few cents to modify a cut Y cable though ;-)
