Besides, something else happened tonight with another lamp, one which is on my desk, close to the gear (amp+Mac). I mean interferences are turning off the sound again of the amp when lighting on that lamp, though the neon tube mentioned previously, positioned away at the other part of the room, is still no more a problem. (Wiim Amp and Mac are still connected with USB/Toslink for sound, and HDMI for ground purpose). The HDMI connection therefore does not provide the perfect grounding I was hoping for ! Strange, I don't understand !
Listening music at the moment, I'm now using the jack/USB again and the ground protection is complete. Both lights have no effect on the amp when turning them on. It's the only solution I found to listen streaming audios with Wiim amp until now with no interference. I'll try your DIY RCA idea next.
