Good day,.. I wanted to know if it is possible to connect an Android tablet to the Wiim ultra.

The answer will be yes, but what are you hoping to do with it when it is connected?

Connection via USB??
What did you hope to achieve by connecting your android tablet via usb?

The ultra's usb socket is for attaching a usb stick / hdd containing music files and/or for usb audio out to another dac.
It can't be used as a usb dac input.

I found that the WiiM Amp does recognize the contents of an old Apple iPod nano 6. But that doesn't mean you could play all kinds of music using the iPad as a streaming device.

Good morning everyone, sorry to disturb, i need some clarifications that I couldn't understand.
1) Can I connect WiIM Ultra directly to my phone via app without going through my home router and using USB with a hard disk?
2) I would like to use WiIM Ultra mainly with the USB port, but it works the same as when I use it as a streamer, examples: the monitor displays the photos in the album, the touchscreen works.

Welcome.

Seems like you want to attach a usb drive or hdd to the ultra's usb port and not access it via the network.
I think the only way you'll be able to play music on the hdd using an app (any app) is via the router / network.
The wiim home app does not communicate directly with the ultra (except for during setup).

I know there was mention on this forum about using the touchscreen to play music from an attached hdd, but I don't use mine this way so haven't actually tried it to give you decent advice, sorry!

Why is not using a router important to you?

Good morning and thanks for the reply, I didn't want to use the router because I don't have internet where I wanted to put the WiiM and I wanted to use the touchscreen with an HD.

So maybe the WiiM Ultra is not the best device for you in that case, as it's an Internet streamer.

You can however set up a local router (home network) without Internet access and use that.

Do you have two smartphones (or tablets)?

If so, you can set up your phone with WiiM by connecting it to a phone hotspot.
