History has shown that intelligent technology in the hands of stupid people will produce stupid results. AI is now a powerful tool of Russian propaganda, for example. Who can distinguish between what is real and what is fake, and what actions follow from this?
I am not opposed to progress. In preventive healthcare, such as early cancer detection, AI can achieve a lot and be very helpful.
Nevertheless, it is frightening because I do not believe that it will be used exclusively for good purposes, but rather for questionable goals.

No writer or author, for example, will be paid for their work. The money will flow into the coffers of the already rich ass-kissers in Silicon Valley. It is foreseeable that the whole thing will get out of control (since there is no control and there will be no control).

This is not to mention the Environmental Costs of Electricity Generation and Data Center Cooling.

There is a plethora of reasons to be critical about many different aspects of AI. But in this case we are talking about a private AI, strictly using WiiM resources for initial training, so copyright infringement is really a non-issue.

We must differentiate the technology of neural networks from the actual implementation. Also, AI is not a synonym for omniscient world knowledge.

Artificial intelligence has been sufficiently documented and described. Just look at the progress made in the last 2-3 years. Even if it is not synonymous with what you refer to as “world knowledge,” there are already AI tools that support specialized scientific work and are successfully used in medicine (to name just a few examples).

Absolutely, but that's not a bad thing ... as long as those who use this tool are educated and aware of what it can and cannot do.

But there are heads of state today who throw shit at their fellow citizens and who are breeding elites again.

There aren't many countries that can keep up with technical progress (e.g. required computing power) in this regard.

Aren't you afraid that it will be misused? I don't mean human vs. machine, but rather in the sense of socialization and misrepresentation of facts, fakes etc.

There are so many times, in this forum, we need to explain how to raise a ticket via the WiiM Home App.

Asking the AI about how to report an error gives an ok but not complete answer.

There are no mention of that a log is automatically uploaded, so that raising the issue is best done at the time when the issue is present.

The option is also wrongly described as "Feedback", while it's now called "Feedback and Tickets".

Alternativt options could also be described (mail and support site).

It's time for the AI to study some more during the holidays

It will only help if the prospective asker of a novice question searches the forum before asking. They generally don't even look at the post directly before their question about the same thing

I would urgently introduce a WiiM Forum admission test for new users. Maybe 30 questions with multiple choices? Curated by the curators?

After trying it for a few days, I'm disappointed with AI Answers so far.

Here's why:

- It gives vague answers that are easily misunderstood.
- It makes a lot of strange mistakes. A lot.
- The AI doesn't reference forum posts.
- There's no mechanism to train the AI.
- The "Unhelpful" button is genuinely not helpful at all right now.


I think integrating the AI into the forum search is problematic. While AI generally returns more accurate results with more keywords (more specific prompt), the forum search system actually becomes less accurate as more keywords are added. This combination just doesn't work well together.

In my opinion, it would be better to separate the AI from the forum search and utilize it as a new search system. It could perform high-precision forum searches based on prompts, summarize high-quality threads and posts, and list them. The AI's answers or suggestions would be displayed below that list.
