Going to be hard adjusting to no Henry
Going to be hard adjusting to no Henry
Yeah, I hadn't known about that beforehand, so I was terribly disappointed..Going to be hard adjusting to no Henry
There's a certain sameness in these English series - dim witted assistants, upper-class twit bosses, the inevitable ancient University town setting. A bit soporific....Enjoying Down Cemetery Road with Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson, from the author of Slow Horses.
Looks like a few new series might be worth a look too - Trespasses with Gillian Anderson, and All Her Fault with Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning, as well as a trip down memory lane with the excellent original Edge of Darkness with Bob Peck, Joe Don Baker and Joanne Whalley on BBC iPlayer.
Henry would have made the season better. The Mage battle episode was one of the best episodes of the entire series. It was creative and the special effects were well done. Once the battle started it was action for quite a while. And Yeniffer is just beautiful. I wish we would see more of her like in season one.Yeah, I hadn't known about that beforehand, so I was terribly disappointed..![]()
I clearly watch them with a different mindset - as taking amusing potshots at the stereotypes depicted. As Iâm often reminded by my partner, theyâre enactments not real lifeThere's a certain sameness in these English series - dim witted assistants, upper-class twit bosses, the inevitable ancient University town setting. Yeah, this season was enjoyable too, and there was that (I adore) reunion scene between Geralt and Yennefer. But her partner could never be anyone other than Henry. I do feel sorry for Liam, though.Henry would have made the season better. The Mage battle episode was one of the best episodes of the entire series. Completely agreeAnd Yeniffer is just beautiful. I wish we would see more of her like in season one.![]()
Not of fan of Jon Voight in real life, but he is awesome as Ray's dad.The series (8 runs) of Ray Donovan (Ch4) is damn good - sort of Greek tragedy carried out in LA. Some great soundtracks too.

I remember for some reason we couldnât watch this in the UK when it first came out and Iâd really wanted to see it. I enjoyed it although as I recall it dipped a bit in the last season. Good as it was, it couldnât hold a candle to Le BureauBerlin Station - itvx. Achieves the feat of not one single sympathetic character. Summed up by the title music
Watched the first two episodes last night, itâs shaping up well for me. Like Tom Cruise with motorbikes, Clare Danes must have a âcry faceâ clause in every contract
I'll have to find Le Bureau...I remember for some reason we couldnât watch this in the UK when it first came out and Iâd really wanted to see it. I enjoyed it although as I recall it dipped a bit in the last season. Good as it was, it couldnât hold a candle to Le Bureau
Itâs on Paramount+ on Prime. You might be able to get a free trial or cheap 3 month deal.I'll have to find Le Bureau...
