Internet Radio Stations List of radio station URLs

This is excellent! Best update in functionality (for me) in ages. I already had the playlists so a couple of clicks and there they all were, artwork 'n' all.
Yeah me too, especially having requested such a few years back, albeit under a different alias ;)

This will make it so much easier for members to share their radio station lists in the forum and for others to easily import them.

Are you absolutely certain that the stream is unaltered and at this resolution? Because on Wiim Home, it's really not good...

But my point was more general, regarding methods used to impose certain "digital quality" formats, claiming "no reception problems," but which in reality don't offer good quality, like DAB+ or the use of apps like "Radio Player" which actually deliver low-quality streams...
It's easy to "camouflage" it like that...
(But BBC 320mp3 streams are interesting though...)

I was just reacting to the format... but indeed... off-topic...

How about this one

That is the number one consideration for a broadcast radio station. Especially state/public owned ones. Sound quality, while important, is down the list.

Try...but really bad..
(Please...don't waste your time for me ... The policy of the Radio France group, which historically prided itself on the quality of its work, a major player like the BBC, has abandoned the idea of quality...disappointing...
The BBC seems to be putting up some resistance...)

Certainly... but that doesn't mean that demanding music programs shouldn't use less than 320mp3...
Dab+ bad too

It does actually sound really bad playing from WiiM "Open Network Stream" which is strange since it sounds great playing from Lyrion 🤷‍♂️

Not just bad... but very bad...
This seems to be explained by a processing issue at Wiim Home. Problems...
;-)
(I already have stuttering issues with the Icecast AAC on "pop" music, which will lead me to put away the "Plus"... the nice FM tuners already in place are going to feel loved ;-)) )

Piano sound was fluctuating if that makes sense.

Seems of limited practicality to me. Individual lists are usually exactly that - why would a personal list of obscure C&W radio stations, or heavy metal stations be worth importing for me? More effort to provide specific access to services like BBC Sounds, Radio France, NPO, etc. would be welcome 😁

How do the classical Radio France HLS stations sound to you when played from the WiiM app? Piano music sounded awful compared to Lyrion.

I can cast the BBC sounds app to my wiim or use their existing BBC implementation. Prior to this update I had to type my obscure list of C&W radio stations into the WHA one by one. Now it's just a couple of clicks and they're all there :)
I would say it's of great practicality to everyone who has an individual list, however different those lists happen to be.

It's possible that your HLS (which normally offers adaptive bitrates) is just a "re-reading" of the Icecast 192aac files... if you have the opportunity and the expertise to actually compare the bitrates between these Icecast files and your HLS Lyrion? A subjective assessment would be appreciated.... ?
These Icecast 192aac files are too weak for classical and world music (Ocora)... they sound "poor" and "dirty"

But seem have problems from wiim and m3e8..

I can see how it may be useful for list collectors (😄📃). I'd prefer to see alternative radio aggregators (eg. Something like Audials or Radio Garden-like) to TuneIn & vtuner being implemented. And while we're discussing nifty features, why is there no Podcasts feature?

Are you going to report the poor sound of HLS streams to WiiM?

No... I already had to contact them about the stuttering with the Icecast... and with my limited English, it's difficult... but it works well m3e8 de bbc 320000 (mp3? Not aac...)
Problem with AAC and Wiim?

Yeah, I wonder what’s happened to WiiM Radio that they mentioned some time back.

@RyanWithWiiM is such a feature still on the cards?
