Internet Radio Stations List of radio station URLs

I can see how it may be useful for list collectors (😄📃). I'd prefer to see alternative radio aggregators (eg. Something like Audials or Radio Garden-like) to TuneIn & vtuner being implemented. And while we're discussing nifty features, why is there no Podcasts feature?

The thing with adding yet another aggregator is that I'd then have to faff about adding all my obscure radio stations to whatever they choose... again. This way, the exact same list I already have, and use in my music server, is added in seconds. Including BBC, Radio Paradise, Calm Radio so they're all in one place. I love it!

I agree with Podcasts. I think it's a glaring ommision from the current line up.

All that being said. I can just stream all this stuff from my server via phone or TV anyway (including the radio playlists), which is/was the whole point of a Wiim in the first place, I think....... but, if we are going to make it a one stop box for all your listening needs then let's have some great radio/podcast features AND a half decent usb music library implementation.

Which I am confident we will get

Eventually

No... I already had to contact them about the stuttering with the Icecast... and with my limited English, it's difficult... but it works well m3e8 de bbc 320000 (mp3? Not aac...)
Problem with AAC and Wiim?
I reported it and got a reply. So far WiiM are telling me that the link I copied from Lyrion can't be played in Lyrion or VLC Player. I have no idea what they are doing 😂

Focal & Naim (of expensive kit fame) have an app which gives access to their impressive radio station aggregator. Playback on local device. No need for any Naim devices.

Useful for checking out broadcasters, for example, It's one of the very few aggregators which finds and plays Pyongyang FM (not that you can tolerate listening for more than a few minutes 😜).

The radio aggregator was introduced last year after Naim gave up the struggle to get decent performance with vtuner

Look for Focal & Naim on the usual stores.

Interesting. I‘ve just downloaded their app. It seem‘s that I need to set up an account with them in order to be able to use their radio player. Can you confirm that or is there any other way to access this service?

Err... Don't know 😁. I have a Naim device - it's disconnected but the radio app still works.

It's possible that your HLS (which normally offers adaptive bitrates) is just a "re-reading" of the Icecast 192aac files... if you have the opportunity and the expertise to actually compare the bitrates between these Icecast files and your HLS Lyrion? A subjective assessment would be appreciated.... ?
These Icecast 192aac files are too weak for classical and world music (Ocora)... they sound "poor" and "dirty"

But seem have problems from wiim and m3e8..
Well this is interesting. I played both the 192kbps AAC stream and the 280kbps HLS stream in VLC. According to the Statistics page in VLC both streams have content bitrate of 195kbps so you are right, the HLS stream is just a repackaged 192kbps AAC stream.

Thank you...
(It's a shame that some radio stations in their FIP or France Musique packages don't have at least 320mp3 audio, and only 192aac for all...:( From such an institution...it's a bit shameful)

Today I am not convinced that I can hear any difference between playing on WiiM Open network stream and Lyrion.
