I'm looking to use my UMIK-1 mic with the Ultra for taking room correction measurements. I bought a USB-A female to Apple lightening adapter cable but the adapter does not provide power. Can anyone suggest a Mini USB (UMIK-1 input) to Apple lightening cable (iPhone 13 input) that provides power for the UMIK-1? I looked at the one linked below on Amazon but it was poorly rated. Or a USB-A female to USB-A female adapter that will pass power would work. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.

According to this you need a lightning to USB camera adaptor.

In case you have a Mac, just run WHA on that and use regular USB.
Thanks but I'm using a laptop with Windows 10 so that would not be an option. I should have specified that earlier.

I'm going to try this adapter from Amazon as it's just $6 opposed to the $40 Apple adapter. If the adapter doesn't work I'll buy the Apple adapter. Normally don't have an issue spending money for this hobby. But $40 for an adapter I'll only use a few times has me looking for lower cost options.

I don't see how this USB A female to female adapter - however cheap it my be - will help you to connect an old UMIK-1 to an old iPhone.

It's an iPhone 13 with an Apple Lightening plug so it's not that old. The UMIK-1 has a USB Mini input. So I need a Mini USB to Apple Lightening cable. But I've been unable to find such a cable that will also provides power for the UMIK-1. So I have plenty of Apple Lightening to USB-A cables and a few USB Mini to USB-A cables.

So that's the reason for ordering a USB-A female to USB-A female adapter. Whether the two cables mated together with the adapter will provide power is unknown. But I'll know tomorrow.

This is the one you need

Plug the UMIK-1 into the USB-A port using an adapter and power the iPhone/UMIK-1 via the other Lightning port.

There are cheaper versions but often they don't have the Apple chip which is required for Data transfer.

Are you positive it's mini-USB? My UMIK-1 is USB-C.

I’m positive my UMIK-1 is USB Mini. It’s not USB-C. My UMIK-1 is an older one before the switch to USB-C. I wish it was USB-C as it’d be easier to find a cable.

Yes this would work but I’m being cheap. In the end I might end up spending the money.
