YouTube Music Music continues after playing playlist in preset

Hi. I'm using the YouTube Music integration and I'm facing an issue. I've created a playlist and I've saved it a preset (in the 1st position), so that I can play it from WiiM's main screen. The problem is that once playlist completes, it starts playing some random music from YouTube. I would like it to stop. This is what happens with a SoundCloud playlist, for instance.

How can I make it stop at the end of a playlist?

I no longer have a YouTube Premium account so can’t login to verify this, but I don’t recall an autoplay setting in the WiiM Home app for Youtube. Such settings tend to be device specific so I wouldn’t expect changing such a setting in your YouTube app to have any impact on the WiiM.

Best dropping a line to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the app so that can raise this with Google/YTM to see if such a setting could be enabled in the API, if indeed that’s what’s causing your issue.

Go to Up Next in the YouTube Music app when you are playing and scroll to bottom of the playlist where there is an AutoPlay toggle. Turning this off fixed the issue for me. You need to do this on all devices you have the YTM app on.

Yes,
The autoplay toggle in the YTM app is enabled when casting to WiiM with Google Cast, but not when playing YTM with WHA.

Thanks. The OP is using the WiiM YTM integration though which doesn’t have an autoplay option. However, using the YTM app and Chromecast is a potential workaround

Strangely, the autoplay does not stop on my WHA. Could you try the following again?

1) Play the YTM album from the beginning in the WiiM app

2) Press the next button repeatedly to proceed to the last track

3) Does the music stop after the last track?

Embarrassingly I don't know how it works or why, but it fixed the issue for me when using YTM from the WHA.

Thanks. That just seems weird if you had to go round other devices to get it to turn off, suggesting as I thought that it was a device specific setting, but no such setting exists for the wiim app or device. Google works in mysterious ways

I can't try at the moment as my sub has expired today. But it stopped playing after final playlist song after I had disabled AutoPlay on the YTM app on the same device.

Yes, I can add titles to a play list in the YTM app, and then when I open YouTube music in the WHA, the titles are available in the Library section, so the WHA and the YTM app must sync or talk to each other somehow.

That’s because they use the same account which resides in the cloud, not because the apps interact in any way - they’re just separate windows into the same library

Disabling the AutoPlay setting in the YTM app does not disable it in the WHA for me.

Customer support has replied this:

In a future update, we plan to add a toggle in the WiiM Home app to disable autoplay. With this option, playback will stop once the playlist finishes, preventing random songs from playing afterward.
