Not sure if this would be of interest to others but I thought it would be useful to have option settings for the muting level. Perhaps choices could be -10dB, -20dB, -30dB or -∞ (full mute).
When I'm listening to background music and the phone rings for instance, I prefer to be able to have music continue but at a lower level without having to change the volume setting. For this situation, having a -20 or -30dB mute would be handy. Also, when cuing a record, I prefer to hear the stylus engage the groove at a reduced level to avoid getting a loud pop that could result if the volume was turned up high.
If you are set for a partial mute, you can always hit pause if you want a full mute without having to first change the option in the app.
