My WiiM Pro Plus 2nd sample test

What your measurements suggest/mean is that if one is using the Wiim Pro or Plus as a digital streamer only, a high quality linear supply should make no difference vs the stock SMPS. If so, I should stop trying to improve my Wiim Pro Plus with a better power supply! Thanks!

I just tried the command with my WiiM Pro (no Plus) and it didn't work: "unknown command".
Is it just that I'm too stupid or has Linkplay closed the access?

EDIT: It seems that it should be http:// instead of https:// but with https:// the device does not respond.

I thought for an "insane" use, based essentially on its better ADC..
Since I'm still deciding if take a NAD C389 with Dirac or an Yamaha RN800 with YPAO or even a Flex mini dsp to put between pre and amplifier, in order to correct some room nodes, I was thinking to put a WiiM Pro plus on "tape monitor" bus of my actual preamp and use it's analog input and output to do some PEQ corrections even on analogue inputs, like phono or other ancient stuffs. Overall volume will be still controlled by preamp and PEQ section of WiiM will correct all analogue and digital inputs. Pro plus has better ADC, so the process will start in a better way. Eventually, an external DAC could be still used, if already available...
Up on results, I will decide how to follow on.

I am thoroughly enjoying my WP+ as a streamer source but also as a room correction device, so I am also considering how best to implement my WP+ in my legacy analog hifi. Tape monitor loop or between preamp and power amp. What have you decided and how do you like the results?

It's been a long time... I finally got a NAD C3050LE after attended a demo with Dirac. That convinced me that the future lies in active room correction, in Class D and, why not, even in switching power supplies. Unable to correct the room's modal resonances and having limited options with some early reflections, I always had to resort to some correction, first manually, using both Rew and HouseCurve with WiiM's PEQ, then with WiiM automatic correction also, obtaining overall acceptable results, thanks also to a decent RT60. But it was when I switched to Dirac that the phase correction between speakers and subwoofer and some modal resonances finally gave me that pleasant sensation of sound I had ages ago in well-designed mixing rooms and that I had given up on replicating at home. Even the choice of KEF LS50 Meta coaxial drivers, to reduce parallax errors on the more lateral emissions, was intended to reduce the effects of early reflections. Either you build a room from the foundations, or you have to settle. In the near future, I will see what possible solution is available to adopt Dirac ART and possibly a double subwoofer.

Listening area is significantly not ideal with the left speaker in a corner and the right in an open space... but the L+R fit option allowed the left speaker to get the adjustment it needed to bring the freq. <500Hz under control. The overall result is amazing but Nad lacks on quality control of firmware updates and support service speed. They should learn from WiiM support. Every, really every update, a new quirk is guaranteed and a new fix is needed. Finally last bi-update (new one to fix the previous new one) seems to work well. Problems were always on coupling with Dirac side (NAD's cause).
Maybe the possible next upgrade, could be not Nad, after over 40 years of nadism...
