I don't know if this feature has just disappeared for me with the latest updates, but i am unable to add a single song to the now playing queue, I'm sure i used to be able to.

It only lets me add an album.

I'd like to make playlists on the fly without having to make an actual playlist.

Hi slipthru,

Could you please let us know which music service you’re using? If possible, submit a ticket through the WiiM Home App by selecting the 'Settings' tab and choosing 'Feedback.' We’ll address this issue right away. Thank you for your assistance and patience!

Thank you, i am just playing flac files from my usb hard drive which is attached to my asus router. I submitted a ticket yesterday also.

I have seen the same issue when trying to play songs from the media server running on my NAS. I submitted a ticket and was told it would be fixed in 2.12.3, but that version was skipped and the app went to 3.0. This feature used to work just fine. Any update?

I totally agree with making playlists on the fly in the queue without actually making a playlist. This is how I enjoy my FLAC music library.

Hopefully they get this sorted ASAP. If they fix the queue functionality in the app then they will have a really sound product with their hardware.

1. Add a song (either play next, or to end of list - without removing songs already in queue)
2. Add an album (either play next or end of list - without removing songs already in queue)
3. Ability to re-order the play queue on the fly
4. Ability to delete individual or groups of songs from the queue

Using LMS will allow all of that.

Who is getting upset? LMS is great.

But your point stands. LMS allows all of that functionality. So did MPD clients a decade ago. And here we are with new products coming out that can't match what was done previously (and in open source free software to boot).

Somewhere along the development path of getting the app to integrate with all the various new on-line streaming options they forgot about this core functionality that is actually pretty fundamental to listening to digital music files.

For me, the PC is a relic of the past, and I have no desire to use it in my personal life. I have no alternative at work, so I have no choice but to use it... 😅

You don't need to use a PC for LMS if that was your concern. You do need a sever but that can be a Raspberry Pi or even an Android phone.

Can I turn my Android phone into a server? 😯
I didn't know that was possible.
Have a look here 😃

Thank you for sharing something awesome.😊

I wish this is available in the play store! But I'm very interested and may give it a try.

BTW, is it possible to do this with LMS?

  • Control Spotify on the LMS without using Spotify connect.
  • Improve Qobuz recommend and related artists (e.g., display Spotify data on artist pages).
  • Display a button to play "popular tracks" on Qobuz all artist pages.

If you don't understand what I am saying, that is my fault. Please ignore me.😅

I have LMS on a pi, but to be honest i would rather not have it running anymore. If the Wiim home app could do this. It would be perfect for my use.

Spotify yes. I have no idea about Qobuz.

As a WiiM user for all of two days now, this is one of the first things I noticed. For individual tracks, the only options are to add to favorites or add to a playlist. I'm seeing this with Qobuz and my own music share, in both the iOS and Android apps.

In my case, I see two additions to the queue on the Qobuz track.🙂
