One Pro - two speakers

Sorry for this lame question. I have two Devialet Phantoms configured as stereo. I can only reach one via optical cable. Would it make better sense to use WiFi instead of one on optical and one on Wifi?

Don’t the phantoms have streaming built in? Why not use that?

I think that is a question better pointed to Devialet - the WiiM optical output is just that so the same question could apply to a CD player with optical out.

For Tidal and Airplay yes. But airplay cripples (well sort of) the quality.
