Does anybody have any recommendations for a 3m long Optical Cable that is of comparable quality to the WiiM supplied cables, and supports 24-bit 192 kHz. I don't want, or need any fancy expensive cables, as the standard WiiM supplied cables are perfectly adequate for my needs.

Ideally, I would like a cable that is available from Amazon UK.

The nature of optical toslink cables is underrated. With no metal connection on either end, it can enhance a system even with average components.

You can get a glass optical cable for reasonable prices but that's not necessary either. I've run both on a high end system and they are excellent even for 192K music transfer streaming Qobuz Connect.

You'll find plenty of good ones available. Just get one with some rugged construction on the ends. It will run well for years.

I bought one of these six years ago - tbh, can’t recall if used it for my WiiM devices or TV, but equally I can’t recall having any problems with cables for a longer time.

Edit: given it was six years ago, then I guess I didn’t use it on my WiiM devices but other than pulling out all my kit and checking, I don’t know where I do use it 😄

Part of the problem is getting one where the connectors fit properly, as I have had some where they don't fit properly, and fall out.

I have had cables where the connectors don't fit properly in WiiM devices, so that is why I'm asking.

I managed to find it in my magic box of cables ;) and it’s a snug fit on my Amp Ultra and Mini although I haven’t connected it at the other end to see how it performs, but I wouldn’t expect an issue. At £7.99 it’s worth a shot…

I find this offering by deleyCON a perfectly adequate Toslink cable which comes in many different lengths. The connectors and the cable itself have just the right amount of ruggedness without being too bulky. The cable is pretty flexible as well.

Try Monoprice premium. Got mine from Amazon and love them. Well made.
