Hi
I have an ageing Cyrus AV8 which drives 3 Cyrus amps. The AV8 is becoming problematic and I will shortly be in the market for a new setup as Cyrus no longer support an AV solution.
I am drawn to the Wiim amps as they are a similar shoe box size, but before committing I need to know if I can do the following using three Wiim amps.
Connect my front stereo speakers - an obvious yes, and utilises, I guess the main box
Connect my rear surrounds - again an obvious yes, and using one of the other 2 boxes
The issue that I can’t find a solution to is whether I can use the third box to provide amplification to both my centre and my sub woofer. I don’t want an active sub woofer, I have a 10” bass unit fixed into a wall and the sound it produces is pretty good.
I cannot see why I can’t do what I want to do, but there is always a gnawing thought that I could spend a good chunk of cash and not be able to deliver what I need to deliver… any thoughts from you wonderful people?
